This is the most hard-wearing shirts we have ever made.
It's woven from CORDURA® Combat Wool, a fabric where merino wool is intimately blended with INVISTA nylon 6,6 at the fibre level. That's the key detail: the nylon isn't a coating or a hidden reinforcement panel — it's spun right into the yarn, so the shirt keeps the look, softness and feel of pure wool while the nylon does the heavy lifting on durability. According to CORDURA's own testing, the blend delivers up to 10× the abrasion resistance, around 2.1× the tensile strength and 1.4× the tear strength of 100% merino - without changing how the wool wears against your skin.
What that means in everyday use; It doesn't wrinkle. You can pack it down into a gym bag or carry-on, pull it out at the other end, and put it straight on - no iron, no steamer.
For travel it's hard to beat.
- It resists odour. Merino naturally limits the bacteria that cause sweat to smell, so the shirt stays fresh far longer than cotton or synthetics.
- It needs washing rarely. In practice you can wear it many times between washes, often through a week or two of normal use. Air it out overnight and it's ready again. Less washing also means it lasts longer and uses less water and energy.
- It regulates temperature and breathes. Warm when it's cool, cool when it's warm, the everyday strength of good merino.
The fabric is woven in Germany and the shirt is cut and sewn in Poland, by people who know how to work with wool.
We won't pretend it's magic. It's wool and nylon, made well, with properties that genuinely earn their keep. If you want one shirt that travels light, stays fresh, and outlasts the rest of your wardrobe, this is the one we'd point you to.
Our most hard-wearing shirt fabric to date, it looks like fine wool and wears like workwear. It's woven from CORDURA® Combat Wool, where ultrafine merino wool is intimately blended at the fibre level with INVISTA nylon 6.6. A small amount of elastane adds a comfortable, natural stretch and helps the shirt hold its shape.
- Composition: 60% merino wool / 38% CORDURA® nylon 6.6 / 2% elastane
- Fabric weight: 160 g/m²
- CORDURA® Combat Wool - up to 10× more abrasion-resistant than pure merino
- Naturally temperature-regulating, breathable and odour resistant
- Wrinkle-resistant — pack it, wear it, skip the iron
- Comfortable natural stretch
- Mulesing free merino
- Tested for harmful substances
- Woven in Germany · Sewn in Poland
Care
- Machine wash cold on a wool/delicate cycle (max 30°C) with a mild wool detergent
- Do not bleach
- Do not tumble dry, reshape and dry flat
- Iron on low only if needed (rarely necessary, the fabric resists creasing)
- Professional dry cleaning is fine
- Thanks to merino's natural odour resistance, you rarely need to wash it, airing it out overnight refreshes it. Washing less keeps the shirt looking better for longer.
