Let's connect
What drives you? Tell us about your journey and what ignited your passion. I'm driven by seeing where I can take things and the mental phases along the way during my many-day adventures. I enjoy reaching the limit and pushing past it. I'm also driven by the emotional rollercoaster and my goal of inspiring others and becoming "the toughest man on the planet."
Your most unforgettable moment? Publishing my book, when I proposed, and so far, Bigfoot 200.
What's the next big adventure? What dream are you chasing? It's Moab 240, after that I have a triple crown, an Arctic adventure, and a lot of other things on my five-year plan. My dream is to be known as the toughest man and use that to inspire young people and others. To show that nothing is impossible if you want it enough.
Why are you and LOOW the perfect match? I love having LOOW with me because it's light and comfortable to move in, and it doesn't get stiff or cold. I have one set for three to four days of running. The reason is that we are both durable and work well in all environments, both in fine settings and in the mountains.
Your essential piece of LOOW gear—and why? That's a tough one—but I'd say my long-sleeved 135 sleeve because it can be both sun-protective and warm in the nighttime hours.
A personal mantra or philosophy you live by? Life doesn't wait for anyone, and we are our own limitation.
