The quick ones

Where in the world are you right now?
I live in Verbier, Switzerland, which is located in the French-speaking part of the Alps.

Hometown?
I grew up in Silkeborg, Denmark, where nature has always played a significant role for me.

Your primary discipline?
I make a living from skiing and teaching skiing. I also do my best to document skiing through photos and videos, whether it's from a boat in Northern Norway, a catskiing trip in Georgia, or days spent in the snow in Verbier with good friends.

When you're not on an adventure?
When I'm not in my ski boots, I'm in the mountains with my mountain bike or trail shoes on.

Let's connect

What drives you? Tell us about your journey and what ignited your passion for adventure.
I love grand nature. For me, the perfect day outside is surrounded by good friends, good snow, and big lines in the mountains. The day ends with a beer in the sun and my feet in a pair of sneakers after a long day in boots.

Your most unforgettable moment in nature?
An unforgettable moment for me was a day in Lyngen, Northern Norway. Together with three of my best friends, we sailed out to a couloir named 'The Godmother of All Couloirs'. After a five-hour bootpack up through the couloir, we stood on the summit, and it was a view I will never forget. From there, we saw the fjords merge with the mountains as far as the eye could see. It was an immense experience. To be able to ski in a place like that was a privilege.

What's the next big adventure? What dream are you chasing?
My next big adventure will hopefully be a ski trip to Greenland, which will form the basis for a coffee table book about Greenland and skiing. Before that, I have many smaller projects in Verbier and Georgia. I also have an interview book on the way about Danes, skiing, and life in the mountains.

Why are you and LOOW the perfect match?
LOOW creates clothing that fits my lifestyle. For me, LOOW is the perfect first and second layer. I can wear it when I'm bootpacking a couloir and don't want to sweat too much, when I'm skiing down and want to stay warm, and when I'm having a beer at the end of the day and want to look good. It's simple, not too loud, and can be styled in so many different ways.

Your essential piece of LOOW gear – and why?
I can't live without my ZN-240 Mens Zip Neck. It's simple, keeps me dry and temperate when I'm skiing, and looks great with a pair of jeans. For me, that's just as important.
