ZN-240 is our women's Zip Neck, a soft, comfortable top for everyday wear and outings when you need an extra layer. Wear it directly against the skin or over a T-shirt. The zip lets you adjust how open you want the neckline to be.

The fabric is very loosely knitted, with small loops on the inside. This gives it an airy, insulating structure that feels soft against the body. We use 100% merino wool for both the fabric and the rib at the neck and cuffs, knitted in Denmark. Pure wool is our choice for comfort and temperature regulation.

The open knit is also more vulnerable to wear. Threads can catch and be pulled out more easily, and friction can cause the pure wool to form small balls of fibre on the surface, known as pilling. Here, we have prioritised a soft, airy feel, so the fabric needs a little more care than a more densely knitted top.

YKK ZIPPER

We use high quality zippers from YKK, made in Europe. The zipper automatically locks when it is pulled down to secure the neck brace from opening inconveniently. The pull-tab unlocks when raised again. 

THE NECK BRACE

The neck brace accentuates and lengthens your neck and creates a simplistic and sophisticated look. Closed, it will keep you warm and comfortable in cold weather and if you get hot it can be opened all the way down to the chest letting fresh air in.

THE RIB

The firmness of the rib prevents the fabric from losing form, so the sleeves won’t be loose after a few hours of wear. The thumb hole keeps the sleeve in place when putting on a jacket or doing physical activities.It further helps to keep you warm, as it protects the heat that radiates from your wrists from slipping out.

How should it fit?

Choose your normal size for a regular fit. If you plan to layer a tee underneath and want more room, size up. The zipper should sit comfortably at the throat without feeling restrictive.

Is it good for sports — or more for everyday?

Both. Zip necks are built for movement and temperature shifts, but they also look clean and minimal for daily wear. It’s one of the easiest ‘do-it-all’ merino layers.

How should I wash and care for merino to make it last?

Merino lasts longer with gentle care:

  • Use a wool/delicate cycle with wool detergent
  • Use laundry net when machine washing - available here.
  • Air it out between wears and wash only when needed

Tip: Merino often benefits from airing out between wears, meaning fewer washes and longer life.
