Meet Monika
The hands behind the seams
Monika runs Wijmar Sport, the sewing studio in Poland that has sewn every LOOW garment since 2015. We asked her about the partnership, what merino wool demands of a seamstress and the details she looks for in a finished T-shirt.

The studio
Tell us about your sewing studio. Who are you?
"My name is Monika, and I run Wijmar Sport, a sewing studio in Poland. We are a close-knit team of skilled seamstresses who take pride in craftsmanship and precision. Over the years we have specialized in high-quality apparel, combining traditional sewing expertise with modern techniques. Every garment that leaves our studio is handled with care, attention and respect for the fabric and the brand it represents."
Since 2015
You have sewn for LOOW since the beginning. What has that journey been like?
"Our partnership with LOOW began in 2015, when they were just starting out. From the very first prototypes we shared their passion for simplicity, quality and timeless design. It has been an inspiring journey to grow alongside them, from small batches to a full collection of merino wool essentials. We have watched LOOW evolve, but the dedication to quality has always stayed the same."
The material
What does it take to work with a fine material like merino wool?
"Working with merino wool requires patience, precision and experience. The fabric is soft and delicate, so every stitch must be accurate and smooth. You cannot rush the process. You have to understand how the material behaves to preserve its natural elasticity and comfort. It takes a careful hand and an eye for detail to make each piece right."
The details
What is the most important detail in a finished LOOW T-shirt?
"For me it is the seams and the fit. The clean lines and even stitching are what give the shirt its simplicity. Every small detail, from the neck finish to the sleeve alignment, reflects the quality we strive for. When everything comes together, you can feel it."
Pride
What makes you most proud of the clothes you send out?
"Knowing that our work is part of something lasting. These are garments made to be worn and loved for years. When I see a LOOW shirt, I see the effort, care and craftsmanship of our whole team. It is a great feeling to know that what we make here in Poland is appreciated all over the world."
