Travelling light in LOOW merino wool

Travel for women

Merino wool for travelling light

A small travel wardrobe in merino covers everything from a sweaty day of sightseeing to dinner out. Merino can be aired instead of washed, dries quickly after a rinse in the sink and stays relatively wrinkle-free in a packed bag. Here is what we pack for a week with carry-on only.

  • If you travel with carry-on only
  • If you want clothes that work by day and in the evening
  • If you move through several climates on one trip

Why merino when you travel

  • Less odour and fewer washesMerino wool does not develop odour as quickly as many other fabrics. Often, airing it is enough between wears.
  • Wash in a sink and dry overnightIf you need a refresh, rinse it in the hotel sink. Thin layers can often dry overnight, depending on ventilation and humidity.
  • Light and packs smallThin merino layers weigh little and take up little space, so you can pack fewer and lighter pieces.
  • Works in all climatesThin layers of merino replace bulky outerwear. Combine them for cold mornings, warm afternoons and air-conditioned flights.
  • Relatively wrinkle-freeMerino stays relatively wrinkle-free even when tightly packed, so it looks right straight out of the bag.
  • Soft against your skinFine merino fibres bend easily against the skin. The fabric feels soft and can be worn directly on the body.

How do I wash merino on the go?

Rinse in the hotel sink with cool water, squeeze gently in a towel and hang to dry. Thin layers can often dry overnight, depending on ventilation and humidity. See our guide to washing wool when travelling.

How many days can I wear the same T-shirt?

Merino wool does not develop odour as quickly as many other fabrics. Most travellers air it overnight and wear it again. Pack two tops and alternate.

Does it wrinkle in the bag?

Merino stays relatively wrinkle-free even when tightly packed. Hang it up when you arrive and any creases fall out.

Which weight for a hot climate?

135 is our lightweight fabric and the choice for warm destinations. Bring one warm layer for evenings, air travel and cooler stops.

      Which size should I choose?

Open the product and use the size guide with garment measurements. Compare with a T-shirt that fits you well. Fit varies between styles, so use the guide for the item you choose. See the women's size guide.

Can I try the clothes and return them?

WOOL Club members can try clothing for 30 days, including wearing and washing. Unused items have a 365-day return policy. Returns and exchanges are free from Denmark and the EU. See our return terms.
