This outlet edition of ZN-240 is our women's Zip Neck. It has a zip at the neck and a soft fabric that feels comfortable both next to the skin and as an extra layer over a T-shirt. It is for days when you want warmth while still being able to open up at the neck.

The very loose knit has small loops on the inside, giving the fabric an airy, insulating structure. We chose 100% merino wool for its softness and temperature regulation. Both the fabric and the rib at the neck and cuffs are knitted in Denmark.

Soft comfort is our priority here, and the open knit is more vulnerable to wear than a denser fabric. Threads can catch and be pulled out more easily. Friction can also cause small balls of fibre to form on the pure wool surface, known as pilling. The top therefore benefits from a little extra care in use.

YKK ZIPPER

We use high quality zippers from YKK, made in Europe. The zipper automatically locks when it is pulled down to secure the neck brace from opening inconveniently. The pull-tab unlocks when raised again. 

THE NECK BRACE

The neck brace accentuates and lengthens your neck and creates a simplistic and sophisticated look. Closed, it will keep you warm and comfortable in cold weather and if you get hot it can be opened all the way down to the chest letting fresh air in.

THE RIB

The firmness of the rib prevents the fabric from losing form, so the sleeves won’t be loose after a few hours of wear. The thumb hole keeps the sleeve in place when putting on a jacket or doing physical activities.It further helps to keep you warm, as it protects the heat that radiates from your wrists from slipping out.

How should it fit?

Choose your normal size for a regular fit. If you plan to layer a tee underneath and want more room, size up. The zipper should sit comfortably at the throat without feeling restrictive.

Both. Zip necks are built for movement and temperature shifts, but they also look clean and minimal for daily wear. It’s one of the easiest ‘do-it-all’ merino layers.

How should I wash and care for merino to make it last?

Merino lasts longer with gentle care:

  • Use a wool/delicate cycle with wool detergent
  • Use laundry net when machine washing - available here.
  • Air it out between wears and wash only when needed

Tip: Merino often benefits from airing out between wears, meaning fewer washes and longer life.
