A luxuriously soft heavy duty merino shirt. Knitted in Denmark from two-ply Italian yarn. 100% superfine merino wool.

Recommended as a base layer for low activity sports like hiking, fishing or hunting. And of course for daily use. A great piece to keep in the bag for colder moments, to wear on top of our lightweight T-shirts. 

Ideal for a range of activities, this merino wool fabric is designed for breathability and moisture-wicking, allowing you to stay comfortable in a variety of conditions.

When making this dense luxurious fabric, two of the yarns from our lightweight 135 series are spun together to create a fabric that is almost twice as thick. It would be cheaper for us to use a coarser wool and a thicker yarn to create a fabric with the same weight, but we prefer the unique quality, feel and looks of this fabric.

It’s designed for cooler weather and as a standalone layer — where you want a top that breathes, regulates temperature, and stays fresh longer.

How should it fit, and what size should I choose?

Our fit is made to be easy to wear (long-sleeve). Choose your normal size for a regular fit. If you’re between sizes or want a looser look, size up. For a closer fit, size down. Tip: Check the size guide on the product page for exact measurements.

What makes this version different?

220 is our more substantial merino — extra drape and a more ‘standalone’ feel for cooler days.

How should I wash and care for merino to make it last?

Merino lasts longer with gentle care:

  • Use a wool/delicate cycle with wool detergent
  • Use laundry net when machine washing - available here.
  • Air it out between wears and wash only when needed

Tip: Merino often benefits from airing out between wears, meaning fewer washes and longer life.
