The Project:
"Sometimes, it's about giving something back and appreciating the nature we all take for granted. This project is about climbing in its purest form and leaving nothing but footprints in the unique and fragile nature we visit."
The project's goal is an alpine-style ascent of the iconic mountain Ama Dablam (6812m) and the slightly smaller Lobuche Peak (6119m).
These are ascents where we aim to be 100% self-sufficient from the base to the summit. We intend to climb without the use of fixed ropes or Sherpa support, carrying all our own gear up and down the mountains. As a bonus, we also plan to spend a night in a tent on the summit of Lobuche Peak... for the sake of adventure, the view, and as part of our acclimatization.
Additionally, and just as importantly, this is an expedition where we will prove that you can and should leave the mountains and nature as we all wish to see it: beautiful, clean, and fragile. We do this because it is, first and foremost, the natural thing to do, and because we want to lead the way for others. We will collect trash from high-altitude areas where it doesn't belong and carry it down for proper disposal. This is a big and demanding task for us, but a very important one, we believe.
These tasks will demand a great deal from all participants on a technically difficult mountain. Success in the climbing aspect is far from certain, but the adventure lies in the process, the nature, and the camaraderie—not at the highest point.
Where: Nepal - Solu Khumbu, better known as the Everest Valley.
When: October 11th to November 5th, 2025
Who: Exp. Leader Jakob Urth (Norway/Denmark), Henrik S. (Sweden), Frederik G. (Denmark)
How: Alpine-style climbing on iconic and technical peaks. Simple. Everything must be carried up and down the mountain by our own power.
Why: The adventure lies in simplicity, purity, and in places where we as humans are most receptive to insight and growth.
